• Currency is called: GEL (Georgian Lari). 1 GEL = 1.3QAR

• Georgia used to be a prt of Russia long time ago.  Elders speak Russians, but the younger ones and tour operators speaks English fluently.

• Georgia is within top 10 safest country.

• Can be a hot destination during summer.

• Can be crowded during peak season.

• Prices are not really that expensive compared to Qatar COLA, but watch out for the prices during peak season. Can be comparable to Qatar’s prices, but still manageable.

• If you are a Qatar resident, visa upon arrival will be accepted.

• Insurance will be required during check-in, better bring a print out of QLM insurance. Otherwise, the check-in counter will point you to an office at the airport where you can purchase the insurance for the duration of your travel.It’s also possible that this will not be asked based on recent travelers experience.
